CATIC has hired industry veteran Melanie E. Kido as vice president and Massachusetts state counsel, the company announced.
Kido will manage CATIC’s Massachusetts underwriting department and will support the company’s agents throughout that state.
“Having known and worked with Melanie for many years, I am very excited to have her join the CATIC team in Massachusetts,” CATIC President and CEO James M. Czapiga said in a release.
“Her broad experience in residential and commercial underwriting will be an asset to our attorney agents in Massachusetts and beyond. Her talents will help us to continue to provide solid underwriting guidance that will assist us in our mission of providing the best-in-class service as a bar-related title insurance company,” Czapiga added.
Prior to joining CATIC, Kido underwrote both residential and commercial transactions national underwriters for nearly two decades. She served as a regional and senior underwriting counsel for Stewart, managing underwriting operations for the New England region. Prior to entering the title insurance industry, she was in private practice.
