Two of the country’s top real estate agents said title companies should focus on providing effective human interaction during a complimentary webinar in The Title Report’s “Evolving Realtor Relationships” series.
The real estate professionals who offered their perspectives were: Long Doan, CEO and founder of Realty Group, the largest independently owned brokerage in Minnesota; and Lutalo McGee, owner of Ani World LLC, an umbrella company for Ani Real Estate, Ani Appraisal Management, Ani Title, the Black Male Real Estate Expo and Ani Empowerment Group.
The program was moderated by Alex Brown, senior director of professional services for Qualia.
Even in this digital age, both Doan and McGee agreed title companies should focus on providing strong human interactions for the parties involved in a transaction. Doing this, they said, is particularly important when problems arise.
“The client might need to change [the closing] at the last minute…the agent might need something, the lender might need to send something,” Doan said. “If there’s a problem to solve, what’s the best way to get ahold of someone or [what’s] a place to call [so] that [the problem] can be taken care of immediately?”
McGee concurred with Doan’s thoughts.
“I absolutely think point-of-contact is the most important thing,” McGee said.
Where he works, McGee said attorneys are typically the ones engaging with title companies and he noted their No. 1 complaint is that they cannot reach someone at the title firm when a problem occurs.
